I wanted to create a product without consideration for manufacture cost, and I believe that the Code38 Stealth model best reflects this unusual approach to product design. FORTIFIED TiCN COATING
The Stealth’s main chassis or body is first formed in a surgical grade of stainless steel (316 grade) and for grip, is then glass bead blasted to create a fine peened surface texture. We then carefully package and send each matching body set to a company specializing in vaporized coatings normally used on metal milling cutters. The beauty of this coating is that it actually penetrates the surface of the steel and is amazingly tough and hard, effectively adding a protective skin.
It also gives a unique feel in the the hand which I could only describe as slightly like rubber. For more information on TiCN coatings click here…+
LOW FRICTION COEFFICIENT HELIX
The Helix fitted to the Code38 Stealth has been treated using a process call TiCN and is the same treatment as that used on the chassis. This super hard, low friction coating is applied in vapour form at high temperature such that it penetrates the helixes surface and wont wear off over time such as teflon based coatings.

MATT BLASTED LIFTER
The matt finish on the lifter both blends and contrasts with the charcoal finish of the chassis and provides a slightly grippy feel which is designed to add a further sense of security in the hand when extending and positioning it onto the rim of the wine bottle.
FOIL BLADE
The polished top surface of the Stealth’s foil blade is a harmonious contrast to the textural finish of the chassis and is one of only two components on the Stealth which are polished stainless steel.
The knife steel used on each of the Code38 models is a stainless steel knife alloy called 440C and used extensively by custom knife manufacturers globally.
